It is believed that no one may disturb the harmony, touch the sacred idols, or violate the temple’s sacred order without his permission. Every Sunday, special offerings are made to Kaal Bhairav, which include Organic ‘Somrass’ (a sacred herbal drink), Black Channa (black chickpeas), and Tobacco Sticks. However, strict rules forbid any non-vegetarian items inside Urjaa Dham, aligning with the temple’s spiritual purity.

Kaal Bhairav Janam Utsav, or Bhairava Ashtami, honors the divine birth of Lord Kaal Bhairav; the fierce, majestic form of Lord Shiva who protects dharma and annihilates evil. Celebrated on the sacred Ashtami of Krishna Paksha in Margashirsha, this holy day fills the air with chants, devotion, and spiritual fervor.
At Urjaa Dham, the Kotwali blooms with flowers and gleaming weapons of the Lord. Vastra, iron adornments, Somras, and tobacco are offered with reverence. The divine Havan welcomes every soul to offer Ahutis, followed by a grand Prasad Bhandara, blessing devotees from across the world.
Bhairav Bhog Kirya
Celebrated twice a month
The Bhairav Bhog Kirya at Urjaa Dham is a divine monthly offering, held on the first Sunday and Tuesday after Amavasya, dedicated to Kaal Bhairav, the fierce yet benevolent guardian of cosmic order. In this sacred ritual, devotees surrender in gratitude, seeking his blessings for unshakable courage, unwavering confidence, and divine protection for their families and homes.
