Department of Allied Health

The Department of Allied Health at Gyaan Urjaa Vedic Mahavidhyalay (GUVM) is dedicated to advancing knowledge and practice in the field of nutrition by combining modern scientific research with the timeless wisdom of Vedic and Ayurvedic traditions. This department aims to nurture professionals who not only possess strong academic foundations but also understand food as a source of vitality, balance and holistic well-being.

The curriculum has been thoughtfully designed to provide both depth and application. Students develop expertise in key areas such as human nutrition, therapeutic diets, food science, and community health, while also gaining insight into traditional concepts including Sattvic diets, herbs and Ayurvedic principles of nourishment. This integration ensures students are prepared for careers in clinical nutrition, dietetics, research, psychological health, physical fitness and wellness consultancy.

Learning at GUVM is interactive and experiential. Through workshops, diet analysis sessions, fieldwork and guided research, students are encouraged to translate theory into meaningful practice. Faculty members, with their blend of academic expertise and practical experience, provide mentorship that supports both intellectual growth and professional readiness.

The department’s vision is to create skilled, compassionate, and forward-thinking nutritionists who can contribute to healthier lifestyles and stronger communities.
